Autumn/Fall - Autumn Equinox

Autumn season begins on September 21st and lasts till December 20th. It is also known as autumn season in other countries as in this season leaves start falling from the trees i.e. autumn of trees starts. During this season, temperatures start dropping, days start getting shorter and the nights start getting longer. In northern regions of the US, leaves colour start changing to beautiful shades of orange and yellow. The autumnal equinox comes on September 22nd or 23rd which also marks the beginning of the Autumn season.

Autumn season is the peak of surge in the number of tourists to the country. States like Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine are famous for the most spectacular Autumn landscapes in the United States. In some parts of the California state, particularly in the High Sierra, picturesque foliage can be viewed.

Halloween, All Saints' Day, All Souls' Day, Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday are some the popular events celebrated in the United States that occur in the Autumn season.
