Valentine's Day, which is celebrated as a symbol of love and affection, falls on February 14 every year. It is also called Saint Valentine's Day. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius declared February 14 Saint Valentine's Day. Originally, it used to be celebrated as a Christian feast day honoring Christian martyr named Saint Valentine while this day has now being celebrated in almost all the regions across the world as a feast of romance and love.

People usually exchange flowers, gifts, cards, sweets, etc. in order to express their love on this day. Now-a-days is celebrated worldwide regardless of its origin hence it is a day of celebrating love in its sole manner across the world.

Valentine's Day is not a public holiday in any country while it is an official feast day in the Anglican Communion and the Lutheran Church.
